Your units are slow, you have no good raiders, you can't buy many neutral cities, and so you generally have to fight a desperate battle to grab enough towns, convert them, and march on the living, before 4 full stacks of highmen show up and start making death hard. If you're playing against humans, they will enchant something with ballistas, and shoot down every single one of your advancing horde. Your troops are slow, and you have a lot of immunities, but they're not that useful. No diplomacy = every other race are going to raid you. They are utterly devastating in the endgame and can get along with almost every other race, except undead. Raid-alicious.Īnd yeah, there's a reason humans more or less displaced every other race east of the mountain ranges. I recommend everyone who plays good races to migrate a lvl 2 city to Halflings and spam the blighters.Īzracs: Elefants, and cavalry with 40 move points. Their other units are decent but nothing that great.īut their pony riders are that great. You get to have humans though which is good.Īnd movement 30 for inantry? That's great. Goblins have Karaghs, trolls, spearmen, bombers and KARAGHS! Lizardmen for their fantastic water affinity. Elves don't have heavy infantry or cavalry, orcs doesn't have a good ranged unit, dwarves have shit cavalry, except for their tactical skill of mountain climbing, and so on. Humans for their cavalry, pikemen (a swordsmen with first strike? Oh yeah.), cavaliers, air-galleons, musketeers, and general completeness. They also have wall scaling assasins, and dragons.ĭwarves for their giants, cannons, mole-riders (granted, more of a strategic unit), boar riders (runnning over mountains is surprisingly useful), and general awesomeness. Orcs, for their good melee units, and improved ballista.

My favourite factions are, in no particular order: This is not really bragging, you just have to learn how to assasinate the leaders of the opposing factions. I can pretty much play every race against the AI on Lord and expect to win.
